In my opinion
"84disturbed" aka "e_bobs" were scamming people.

As of 02/07/08 they are no longer registered users.
A big "Thank You" to everyone who helped get them booted.

If you are having difficulty getting your money, it is time to contact the police in Elkhart, Indiana.

This is an update from eBay.
It was posted within a discussion on the Trust and Safety board but recently removed by eBay.

All,

PayPal will protect all buyers who were damaged by non-delivery in transactions with this seller, up to the amount of US $2,000.

For those buyers who have already filed a claim, PayPal will contact you directly to clarify the situation and explain the process for resolving your claim and receiving payment.

For any buyer who has not yet filed a claim, please feel free to contact PayPal customer support directly at 1-888-221-1161. Explain that you want to make a buyer complaint of non-delivery by this seller, and they will explain in detail exactly how to file a protection claim.

I apologize to everyone involved for any confusion regarding this situation. The facts are simple: buyers are covered up to US $2,000 by PayPal in their transactions with this seller.

-- Steve

eBay sent the following message to members with recent dealings with either of these two.  The e-mail contains information about how to go about getting your money back. My original index page is also available and has direct contact for the Randalls.  I do hope everyone is able to recover their money.
There was a discussion about these scammers on an eBay forum, but eBay recently  removed the discussion.    As an added note, if you bid on one of their Thinkpads, I would suggest dealing with eBay seller "ibmfactoryoutlet".  I bought from them, got a better model and saved $40 even after upgrading to a 160G drive.  Their upgrade price was $40--ebob was going to upgrade from 100G to 120G for $185.
